Hello everyone and welcome to today's challenge. Before we begin, I'm sure you're all wondering what's going on in terms of tribes. You've been told to drop your buffs, but is it a merge? No it is not. You guys will be going from three tribes to two.
The tribes have been decided based on the rankings you were instructed to submit. Here's how they ended up...
So here are our new tribes:
Now with that out of the way, let's get to today's challenge. Immunity is back up for grabs.
This challenge is called "The Race" and you will racing an opponent from the opposing tribe to get from one Wikipedia article to another as quickly as possible simply by clicking links within the article.
To complete this challenge you will get on a Google Hangout with one of the hosts. From there we will tell you which Wikipedia Article you'll be starting on and which article you will need to end with. Using links with articles you will travel from one Wikipedia page to another. The person that reaches the destination using the fewest number of links, wins the race. In the case of a tie the person who got to their final article in the shortest amount of time will win.
During the challenge you will have some life-lines to help you out:
Backspace - Allows you to return to the previous article if you made a mistake. Can be used twice.
Control-F - Allows you to search for a specific word in an article. Can only be used once.
As well we have some other specific rules regarding what's allowed for the challenge:
Disambiguation pages are allowed to be used.
Editing Wikipedia pages is not allowed.
Each click will count as a click even if it doesn't take you to an article.
You must be on screenshare the whole time during the challenge
The tribe that wins the most face-offs will win Immunity. If there is a tie, the tribe that had the lowest amount of total clicks will win.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. You will have until 8:00pm EST tomorrow to complete this challenge with one of the Hosts. If you cannot complete the challenge during this time period, please get in touch with one of the Hosts and we will grant you an extension. Otherwise you will be disqualified from the challenge.
